Project Held was founded in 2007. Globally, millions of children live below the poverty line, a significant portion of whom are orphans. Almost two-thirds of these children live in Africa and South Asia. Adults in developing countries also face severe poverty, surviving on less than 2 dollars a day. Traveling through these countries, one encounters this poverty and need firsthand, not only in places like India and Africa but also in Kosovo, where the aftermath of the Balkan War has left a profound mark, with many men dead and families growing up without income.
The identity of Project Held is "Stop for the one." Every child, every individual, deserves not to live in poverty or fear but to build their future and enhance their well-being. Unfortunately, reality is often different. Where you are born is not a choice. Whether it's in a warm house with all luxuries available, a war zone, extreme poverty, or an unsafe environment, you will develop and grow up where you were born.
By regularly traveling to our projects with a team, a brotherhood, a mutual relationship, and trust are formed, allowing us to quickly respond when there is a need.
Poverty often leaves children overlooked and without hope for a better future. They get caught up in survival and lose their childhood early. The consequences can include prostitution, human trafficking, begging, etc. Growing up without a home and a safe foundation damages a child's prospects for the future.
Our goal is to help as many children as possible escape their hopeless situations and provide them with the opportunity to develop in a safe, trusted environment. We do this by offering four indispensable pillars through sponsorship.
We are committed to advocating for these children. This can be achieved through sponsorship. When a child is sponsored, they can go to school, live in a safe environment, and build a future. Additionally, we are closely involved with our projects and maintain direct communication, ensuring that the care for these children is a shared responsibility.
