My story
My name is Witness Manyungwa, and I am 15 years old. I was born on 17 March, 2011. I come from Phalombe district, under Traditional Authority Mkhumba, Malawi.Why Witness needs our help
I am grateful to have been selected to attend Thyolo Boarding Secondary School. However, my joy has been overshadowed by a painful reality: my father, who is my only parent, cannot afford the cost of boarding school. As much as I dream of continuing my education, my family's financial situation is not allowing me to do so.
I am humbly asking for a kind hearted person to help sponsor my education. Your support would mean more than paying my school fees. It would give me a chance to pursue my dream and build a better future.

Sponsor a child at Stichting TRH Meet the children of the TRH Foundation who are waiting for a sponsor to help them grow, learn and thrive. Malawi is currently ranked 6th in the ranking of poorest countries in the world. The THR Foundation is committed to helping people in Malawi out of poverty in a sustainable way. Going to school is essential in this. Most children in Phalombe do not finish high school because of the cost of going to school. Orphans in particular are unable to pay the costs of school without the support of parents or other family members. This means that they remain trapped in poverty, because education is necessary to increase chances of a better future. The area as a whole also suffers from this. If no doctors, nurses, pastors or teachers are trained, the level of development of the area will also lag behind. In short: Education is necessary, because the children are the leaders of the future! For the support of (orphan) children, the TRH Foundation works together with the local team in Malawi. They look at which children need support for education the most and visit the children a few times a year. They also keep us in the Netherlands informed about the well-being of the children.
