My story
My name is Truphena and am 15 years old in class 6. Am the last born in a family of 2 girls and 1 boy. We were left under the care of our uncle after the death of our parents. We depend on our neighbors because our uncle who was to take care of us is unable to meet our basic necessities. I shared my story with my neighbor and she decided to go to Blessed Generation so that i can be assisted. I like my new school very much and i am very grateful because i have all the school materials and also i get two meals a day.Why Truphena needs our help
Truphena needs our help because she is a total orphan. Most of time Truphena and her siblings depend on their neighbors for food. Their uncle who was to take care of them neglected them and no one was willing to help them therefore they dropped out of school. They were doing casual jobs within the village to get food for themselves. When Blessed Generation was informed and assessment was done Truphena was enrolled in our primary school in class 6. Here in school we cater for her full school uniforms and writing materials. We provide her with breakfast and lunch during normal school days and we provide food to her family after every 2 weeks. She receives good medication when need arises. She is had working girl determined to achieve her dream.

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.Sponsor Truphena
