"I am very proud of my report. I got very good grades. I'm just not sure if I'll be able to finish school because Dad can't send enough money. I hope I can go to college so I can become a doctor!"

My story

Hello! I'm Namatovu Sarah and I was born on January 24, 2013. I live with my mom and my sister Salima in Lukumbi. We don't see dad anymore because mom and dad are divorced. I think that's a shame. I love going to school. I'm best at math. I am also good at making crafts, such as baskets and dolls. Mum always cooks very well for us. My favorite food is rice, matooke and meat!

Why Sarah needs our help

Sarah's parents are divorced. Her mother doesn't have a job and therefore has a hard time making ends meet. Her father sometimes sends some money, but this is just enough for their daily food and not for school. Even to be able to eat every day, they need help from her environment, because she doesn't have her own plot of land to grow food.
