Project Information:
Safe Haven Home is located in the state of Madhyua Pradesh. Ramchand Saranu is the contact person for this project. Together with his wife and staff, they take care of the children. The children in this project come from the Banchada community in central India. The tradition in this part of Madhya Pradesh is that the eldest daughter is offered for prostitution. The brothers are taken in to be the pimp from an early age and keep the earnings for themselves or given to the family. In this way, the girls earn the income for the whole family. The girls are confronted with this from a young age. For the girls there is normally no escape, the only way out is to flee the village, with all the uncertainty that entails. Ramchand has already rescued many girls from this traditional trafficking. The boys who do not want to cooperate in the trade are also taken care of and taught the right norms and values.
Your support provides your sponsor child with food, school and teaching materials, housing and medical care, so that the children have a great future perspective and they can realize their dream.
