"Rishi likes to go to school and plays with the other children."

- Rishi

My story

Rishi lost both parents at a young age. His father died of cancer, and his mother also died, although it is unknown where and under what circumstances. Left alone, Rishi had to rely on begging to get food. An aunt tried to help him as best she could by giving him food and clothing every now and then, but due to her own difficult situation, she could no longer keep this up. This left Rishi severely malnourished. Out of great concern, his aunt took him to the children's home and asked if they would take care of him, because she feared that otherwise it would end badly for him. Since then, Rishi has been lovingly cared for, receives sufficient food, care and education, and has become visibly stronger. Thanks to this safe environment, Rishi can now go to school every day and build a hopeful future step by step.

What does a day look like: The morning starts with a breakfast consisting of rice, an egg and milk. Then the children go to school. The little ones go to daycare. At noon, the children get lunch. After school, the children first do their homework, then they play games with each other. For dinner, the children get an Indian curry meal. Every day there is time for prayer and Bible study. Project information: The project in India that your sponsor child is part of is part of Mercy Orphanages and the office is located in Bhimavaram. The project was set up in 2003 by Evangelist R,. R. is an evangelist in India with an enormous passion for the underprivileged in his society. When he was walking through the city one evening and saw a lot of children roaming the streets, fighting for survival, he decided to set up a project to take care of these children. There are currently hundreds of children in the project. A large piece of land has been bought on which a large children's home has been built where all children can stay. At the moment, most of the children are staying in five different children's homes spread over three districts in India. The goal is to give the children a safe home, where they can heal, recover and blossom into strong, independent individuals who are rooted in the love of Jesus. Some children, especially the street children, live in shelters spread over 7 different villages. Project Held also supports children who are half-orphaned and live with their grandparents. They do not have the resources to take care of these children. Your support provides your sponsor child with food, school and teaching materials, housing and medical care, so that the children have a great future perspective and they can realize their dream.
