"I enjoy watching television especially cartoons and i also like dancing and listening to songs when I am at home. I want to be a doctor when I grow up so that I can help the sick especially those who have little or no money to go to expensive hospitals. I want to give all people equal rights to health when i achieve my dream."

My story

I live with my father and my two brothers. My father rents a two roomed house in a town near the city. My mother went to arab countries to work there and we now stay with our father. He gets some little money to take us to school from welding. We are at school most of the time and we only go home during the holidays. Our father struggles hard to see that we go to school in time whenever schools open up.

Why Rehema needs our help

When the mother went to Arab countries leaving the children with the father, Rehema's father found out that the children were not safe basing on the environment surrounding the place where he is renting. He came to UP4S and explained his situation and it was found that Rehema as a girl needed to be taken in a safe place to stay amd study and then go home during holidays. She was brought to school two years ago. During every school term, UP4S gets children like Rehema at school to do their studies and provides other scholarstic and basic needs. Rehema also needs support in other areas like clothing while at school. For more information about us please contact us at www.up4s.ln.

Rehema is supported by impact partner UP4S

UP4S helps Ugandan orphans and underprivileged children from 3 to 18 years old by offering them a warm home and a good school education. UP4S has a primary school and a secondary school in the village of Bukomansimbi, where many of the children come from. An important starting point is that we raise the children to be young people who are proud of their own country and know how to survive here. In 2003, the UP4S foundation was founded by Sylvia Mbabazi to help underprivileged children in Uganda. Sylvia grew up in Bukomansimbi and has lived in the Netherlands since 1997. Sylvia herself was in the fortunate circumstance that she was able to get a good primary and secondary school education, but this was not the case for many of her fellow villagers. Together with a number of volunteers, it was decided to give the underprivileged children in Bukomansimbi and the surrounding area a chance at a good education. This is how the UP4S foundation (read: 'up for us', which means as much as 'stand up for us') was born.
