"I like playing marble game with my friends. When i grow up i want to be driver just like my grandfather who was once a driver."

My story

My name is Peter I am 10 years old. I stay with my grandmother and grandfather who are not able to take me to school. My mother is not usually at home, she usually comes once in a while.I assist my grandparents to look for firewood and water. I am in grade three. I like my new school very much. All the children speak english and i am also learning how to speak and write in english.

Why Peter needs our help

Peter needs help because his mother is a drunkard who sells alcohol in small alcohol dens and never goes back home. Mostly Peters mother is seen in funerals and other functions selling alcohol. Blessed Generation enrolled Peter this year at Blessed Generation Primary School and will take care of all his education needs like books and school uniforms. We will also provide for him food after every two weeks.

Peter is supported by impact partner Blessed Generation

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.
