My story

My name is Paulo Eduardo Correia Telles Pereira and I'm 9 years old. I live with my mother, who is pregnant, with my stepfather and my three brothers. I am attending the 4th year of Elementary School I in the morning and in the afternoon I am part of the activities of the NGO New Generation Brazil. My favorite subject in school is mathematics, because I love doing calculations. In my free time I enjoy playing with my brother, traveling with my family and playing sports. I support a football team called Flamengo. My favorite class at the NGO is basketball, because I want to be a professional basketball player.

The New Generation Brasil Foundation was born out of the desire to offer underprivileged children in Brazil a better future. We believe that every child deserves equal opportunities. We do not stop at 'survival', but want to help the children/young people develop towards an independent and sustainable future by giving them (practical) education, with which they can later provide for themselves. Our vision is that a child can only learn and develop if it feels safe. That is why it is our mission to make this happen. We want to start by creating an environment where children feel safe and secure. Where they can really be children and develop and grow from the natural childlike interest. With the ultimate goal of offering a new generation of Brazilians the opportunity: * to develop, * to be able to make their dreams, potential and ambition come true * to be able to support themselves and their future family well.
