My name is Mercy and I am 11 years. I am the forth born in a family of 7 sisters. I come from a single parent family. We stay with our mother who does a small job in the village to get us food. I am in grade 4 at the Blessed Generation primary school. I am happy to be in school because now I can speak, read and write English.Por qué Mercy necesita nuestra ayuda
Mercy need our help because she together with her siblings dropped out of school because their mother disregarded girl child education and takes them to do casual jobs in the village, which most of time is not paying well and not available. Sometimes they depend on well wishers to get food.
Blessed Generation assessed the situation at home, and Mercy was enrolled in grade 2 in our primary school. We cater for all of her education including books and full school uniforms. We also provide her breakfast and lunch during school days. She is doing well and enjoys so much being in school.

Blessed Generation is een in Kenia gevestigde Non Governmental Organization (NGO) die geregistreerd staat als Charitable Children’s Institution. Vanuit Kenia geeft zij kinderen in nood een kans op een goede toekomst. Onderwijs speelt een belangrijke rol in onze hulp. Het is de sleutel naar de toekomst. Blessed Generation biedt kinderen basis- en vervolgonderwijs en ondersteunt waar mogelijk het volgen van een beroeps- of universitaire opleiding. We kiezen er heel bewust voor na de lagere school niet te stoppen met ondersteuning. Vervolgonderwijs en gedegen sociaal emotionele begeleiding door onze gekwalificeerde social workers vergroot de mogelijkheden van een kwetsbaar kind aanzienlijk en vermindert risico's als criminaliteit, radicalisering en tienerzwangerschappen.Patrocinador Mercy
