My story

My name is Loice and i have 12 years. I have an elder brother who dropped out of School after my Father who was the bread winner died after along illness. This year I am in grade 3. I like Blessed Generation because i am able to get food even during the school days and whenever i am not feeling well they take me to hospital

Why Loice needs our help

Loice needs help because she is a partial orphan. She was left under the care of her mother after the death of her father. Her mother is a house wife and she survives on doing casual jobs like washing clothes which is not always guaranteed. Loice's elder brother had dropped out of school to a assist his mother in doing casual jobs to be able to provide food for his younger sister and Mother. When they tried to ask for help from their parternal home everybody refused thus making the brother come to Blessed Generation to seek for help because their mother started becoming sick due to stress. Blessed Generation enrolled Loice in school. We cater for all her education needs including full school uniforms and books. We also provide breakfast, break and Lunch during the normal school days and give her family food after every two weeks. When need arises we take care of her and her mothers medical expenses.

Loice is supported by impact partner Blessed Generation

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.
