My story

My name is Lara de Almeida Assis, I'm 12 and I'm in the 6th grade of Elementary School I. My favorite subject is the Portuguese language, but I also really like the arts. I go to school in the afternoon and go to the NGO in the morning. I am very present in the activities and I have made many friends here. I am educated and hardworking. I live with my mother and father. I have a family present that always cheers for me and I am very happy for that. My grades are good and I always do assignments and reinforcement activities at the institution. In my free time I like to go to my aunt's house, eat ice cream, watch movies and paint my nails. On the weekend I go to the countryside to stay with my grandmother. My favorite sport is volleyball.

The New Generation Brasil Foundation was born out of the desire to offer underprivileged children in Brazil a better future. We believe that every child deserves equal opportunities. We do not stop at 'survival', but want to help the children/young people develop towards an independent and sustainable future by giving them (practical) education, with which they can later provide for themselves. Our vision is that a child can only learn and develop if it feels safe. That is why it is our mission to make this happen. We want to start by creating an environment where children feel safe and secure. Where they can really be children and develop and grow from the natural childlike interest. With the ultimate goal of offering a new generation of Brazilians the opportunity: * to develop, * to be able to make their dreams, potential and ambition come true * to be able to support themselves and their future family well.
