"Dad is a plumber and I always enjoy seeing him at work. I want to be as good at repairing things when I grow up, just like dad. That's why I want to become a mechanic!"

My story

Hi! My name is Jovan Kaweesi and I was born on July 30, 2016. I have three sisters so it's always busy at our house. We all live in a two-room house with no electricity. I always enjoy playing with my sisters and friends. My favorite foods are posho and katogo. Katogo are beans mixed with cassava. Really tasty!

Why Jovan needs our help

His parents work in the fields to grow their food. In addition, his father works as a plumber when he gets an assignment. The income from this job is so low that they cannot make ends meet and also pay school fees.
