Jonathan Lwan is supported by impact partner Win Myanmar Mission
What does the day look like:
At half past five the children get up and from six o'clock in the morning the children come together for a morning prayer. After the prayer, the children prepare for the school day for an hour and then have breakfast together. At half past three the children come home from school and then they do their homework. Before eating, they first get a chance to play. Dinner will end with a prayer time. After that there is still time to do homework and then the day is over and they go to sleep at 9.30 pm. In the weekends there is extra attention for Bible study and association with the children from the neighborhood.
Project Information:
The project in Myanmar that your sponsor child is part of is located in Yangon. It is a children's home where more than 20 children currently live. The children's home is part of Win Myanmar Mission, founded in 2003 by Pastor Dr. Philip Thang; a ministry aimed at reaching the lost in Myanmar. In 1975, this preacher came to faith during a campaign. After his radical conversion, he has a strong desire to serve the Lord. GMF went to Myanmar many times in 2009 and thereafter to hold a conference with Pastor Philip. Hundreds of people have come to faith and many have been healed. GMF also visited Pastor Philip's children's home and decided to include these children in the program. The goal of the children's home is to give the children a safe home, where they receive healing and restoration and can thus blossom into strong, independent individuals rooted in the love of Jesus.
Your support provides your sponsor child with food, school and teaching materials, housing and medical care, so that the children have a bright future perspective and can realize their dream.
