My story
My name is Janet and am 16 years old in class 7. I am the first born in a family of 4 children, 3girls and 1 boy. I come from a single parent family and i stay with my mother who sells local liquor to get us food. My parents separated due to disagreement and mistreatment. I went to Blessed Generation to seek for help and was enrolled in class 7.Why Janet needs our help
Janet needs our help because she had dropped out of school and was assisting her mother in selling local liquor, which was a risk to her. Janet's mother who is also alcoholic, only concentrates on her business and neglect her responsibility as her father did. After assessing Janet's situation at home, we enrolled Janet at Blessed Generation school where we cater for all of her education needs including full school uniform. She is provided with breakfast and lunch during school days. We also provide food after every two weeks to his family and medical when need arise. Janet is determined to make her dream come true of being a nurse.

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.Sponsor Janet
