"I like cooking and playing with small children. When i grow up i want to be a doctor so that i can treat people."

My story

My name is Jane and am 14 years old in class 7. I joined Blessed Generation when i was 2 months old. Am happy to be here because i have been given care and love and i have never lacked anything. After Blessed Generation traced my family my father was not feeling well and unfortunately he passed away without me getting the chance to bond with him. My mother is mentally ill and cannot do any work. Its my wish that my mothers memory will come back and she will remember and embrace me.

Why Jane needs our help

Jane needs our help because she is abandoned and partial orphan. After her family was traced nobody was willing to stay with her since she had not bonded with any relatives. Her father passed away and her mother is mentally ill. Here in Blessed Generation, she is loved, cared, protected and educated. She is being taken care by trained staffs. Jane is happy having many brothers and sisters in children home that she plays with. We hope that Her mother will regain her memory and recognize her daughter.

Jane is supported by impact partner Blessed Generation

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.
