My story
My name is Henrique Batista da Silva, I'm 10 years old and I'm attending the 4th grade of Elementary School I. I live with my mother, my stepfather and my brothers, who are also part of the NGO. My favorite class is Portuguese Language. I study in the morning at a municipal school and in the afternoon I participate in the activities of the NGO New Generation Brazil. In my free time, I like to watch movies and play hide and seek with my brothers. I support a football team called Flamengo. My favorite class at the NGO is Robotics, because I can create games and work on the computer. I also really like playing volleyball and classes, as it is an opportunity to train and have fun with my friends.
Why Henrique needs our help
The student has been facing significant challenges in his family environment, which has impacted his emotional and academic development. The student has no contact with his biological father. Every family history has affected not only the student's emotional stability, but also their routine and school performance. In addition, the student was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Given this, we want to invest in Henrique's future, so that he changes his current reality and has the conditions to walk a path of success and achievements. The student is monitored by the institution's psychiatrist and uses medication so that he is calmer and concentrates on his daily activities. It is very important that the NGO's professionals continue to accompany the student, because we believe that through the classes and support that the institution offers, Henrique will develop educationally and professionally, becoming a young person trained for the job market or Higher Education, achieving a promising future and overcoming his difficulties.
