"I love reading and I want to be a journalist when I grow up."

- Frozen

My story

Frozen is a quiet and thoughtful girl. Her parents are unemployed and can hardly provide for her school needs. She dreams of writing stories that inspire her community.

Why Frozen needs our help

Without support, Frozen cannot stay in school and loses the opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming a journalist.

Frozen is supported by impact partner TRH-Movement

TRH-Movement is committed to helping people in Malawi out of poverty in a sustainable way. Going to school is essential in this. Most children in Phalombe do not finish high school because of the school fees. Orphans in particular are therefore dependent on food aid and have no opportunities to build a future independently. The area as a whole also suffers from this. If no doctors, nurses, pastors or teachers are trained, the level of development of the area will also lag behind. For the support of (orphaned) children, TRH-Movement works together with local partner Hope Foundation Care. Hope Foundation Care is a faith and community-based organization that began its work in 2023 in the village of Nyezerera in the district of Phalombe. The organization's vision and mission is to improve the standard of living of the most marginalized groups in Phalombe County by strengthening the well-being and education of orphans and vulnerable children, empowering widows and vulnerable families — especially women — and the elderly, and facilitating community development initiatives in rural Phalombe to improve the livelihoods of the entire community.
