My story
My name is Farida. I am 8 years old, and we are 2 in our family. My father went to heaven. My aunt takes care of me for sometimes when my mother is not around. I am in grade 1 at Blessed Generation primary school. I like coming to school, here i have many friends and my teachers teach me well. I can count, speak some english and read some english wordsWhy Farida needs our help
Farida needs our help because she is a partial orphan. She used to stay with her mother who most of time was not available at home leaving her under the care of the aunt. She could get a meal a day from her aunt who did minor jobs in the village. The mother at the moment is less concern of her daughter's well being. Due to rejection she went through after the death of her husband, she moved to stay at her parent leaving behind the daughter with her aunt. Blessed Generation enrolled her in our school after the intervation of a village elder. We provide her with breakfast and lunch during school days.We cater for her all full school unforms and writing materials. She receives good medication when need arise and food after every 2 weeks.

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.Sponsor Farida
