"I love basket ball and dancing. At school I am in the music club and it is my favorite time. I enjoy gospel music mostly and going to church on Sunday. "

My story

Emmanuel has joined UP4S foundation in 2024. He is 13 years old and a very jolly child. He is the 3rd child in a family of 5. The mother started working with UP4S last year 2023 as a cook.

Why Emmanuel Mununule needs our help

The mother is the sole bread winner and can't afford to pay school fees for the 4 school going kids she has. She works hard and wishes to give her kids the best of education. Emmanuel loves and enjoys school and would need school fees support and other simple school requirements

UP4S helps Ugandan orphans and underprivileged children from 3 to 18 years old by offering them a warm home and a good school education. UP4S has a primary school and a secondary school in the village of Bukomansimbi, where many of the children come from. An important starting point is that we raise the children to be young people who are proud of their own country and know how to survive here. In 2003, the UP4S foundation was founded by Sylvia Mbabazi to help underprivileged children in Uganda. Sylvia grew up in Bukomansimbi and has lived in the Netherlands since 1997. Sylvia herself was in the fortunate circumstance that she was able to get a good primary and secondary school education, but this was not the case for many of her fellow villagers. Together with a number of volunteers, it was decided to give the underprivileged children in Bukomansimbi and the surrounding area a chance at a good education. This is how the UP4S foundation (read: 'up for us', which means as much as 'stand up for us') was born.
