My story

My name is Emmanuel, and am 15 years old. I come from a family of seven children three girls and four boys. All my sisters and brothers are not educated because they dropped out of school at early ages. I stay with my father and mother and my sisters who also came back after they all separated from their husbands. My father is mentally ill and he becomes very violent when he has not taken medicine. My mother cannot do heavy duties depends on my sisters who do casual jobs. I also had dropped out of school and used to take care of my neighbors goats.I am able to read, speak and write in english.

Why Emmanuel needs our help

Emmanuel needs our help because he had dropped school and looking after neighbors goats to get at least a meal. His father is mentally ill and cannot provide basic necessities to Emmanuel. Blessed Generation found he had an interest to learn and pursue his dream. He was enrolled in our primary school in class 5. Here in school we provide him with all learning material and full school uniforms. He is provided with breakfast and lunch during normal school days. After every 2 weeks we provide food to Emmanuel's family and receives good medication when need a rises.

Emmanuel is supported by impact partner Blessed Generation

Blessed Generation is a Kenya-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a Charitable Children's Institution. From Kenya she gives children in need a chance for a good future. Education plays an important role in our help. It is the key to the future. Blessed Generation offers children primary and further education and, where possible, supports vocational or university education. We consciously choose not to stop supporting after primary school. Further education and thorough social emotional guidance by our qualified social workers significantly increases the possibilities of a vulnerable child and reduces risks such as crime, radicalisation and teenage pregnancies.
