My story
Dariya, born in a quaint, secluded village in the heartland of rural Uganda, was nurtured by the serene beauty of verdant fields and undulating hills. His parents, like most villagers, led a humble life. His father, a devoted farmer, tilled the soil and grew crops, not only to sustain the family but also to sell occasionally at the local market. His mother, the pillar of their home, took care of dariya and crafted baskets for sale. They bestowed upon Dariya a modest yet joyful life, brimming with love, customs, and the tranquil cadence of village life.
Tragically, Dariya found himself under the guardianship of our project after the heart-wrenching loss of both his parents. With no immediate family or community members capable of assuming the responsibility of his upbringing, he was left vulnerable. In rural settlements such as his, resources are often sparse, and extended families or neighbors may already be overburdened with
Why Daliya needs our help
Dariya is an orphan who requires assistance to meet his fundamental necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, and education, which were once provided by his family. In addition to these physical needs, he also requires emotional support and guidance to help him deal with the loss and trauma of his parents' passing. Dariya needs a stable and caring environment where he can feel secure, recover from his emotional distress, and gradually rebuild trust in others.
